Make this delicious creamy chicken pasta and it will become your favorite family dinner. The recipe is for 4 servings.
Pasta carbonara, one of Prince George's favorite dishes, is a classic Italian recipe. A family version of preparing this delicious dish, which even a novice cook can handle, is offeredby the Taste website.
pasta "feathers" from durum wheat – 500 g;
olive oil – 1 tablespoon;
chicken breast fillet – 500 g;
bacon – 250 g;
garlic – 2 cloves;
egg yolks – 2 pcs.;
heavy cream – 185 ml;
corn flour - 1 tablespoon;
parmesan - 40 g;
parsley - 2 tablespoons.
Cook the pasta. To do this, boil 2 liters of water in a saucepan, add half a teaspoon of salt and pour the pasta into the boiling water. Stir the pasta immediately to prevent it from sticking to the bottom. Cook over medium heat with the lid ajar, stirring occasionally, until done. Cooking time depends on the type of pasta and is usually indicated on the package.
Once the pasta is cooked, place it in a colander, let it drain, return it to the pan and cover with a lid. After five minutes, shake the pasta in the pan well to prevent it from sticking. While shaking the pan, hold the lid so that it does not open and your future dinner does not end up on the floor.
Cut the chicken breast into long, 2cm thick slices across the muscle fibers. Cut the bacon slices into strips. Finely chop the garlic or squeeze it through a press.
Heat a frying pan with olive oil over medium heat. Fry the chicken breast in a frying pan until golden brown, about 4 minutes on both sides. Place cooked chicken on a plate.
In the same pan, fry the bacon until golden brown, stirring constantly. This will take about two minutes.
Mix egg yolks, cream, garlic and cornmeal in a bowl. Beat with a fork or whisk until smooth and free of lumps. If you like your pasta to have a lot of sauce, increase the amount of these ingredients and Parmesan by one and a half or two times.
Add half the Parmesan cheese to the egg mixture and stir to combine. After this, add the fried breast there and mix again so that the mixture covers the surface of each piece of chicken.
Reduce the heat under the bacon pan to low and add the chicken and sauce. Stir and add pasta. Cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Place the dish on plates and sprinkle the top with finely chopped parsley and the remaining Parmesan. Serve the dish hot.
